I have pension benefits with a former
employer, what are my options?
If you have a pension with a former employer you may be able to
transfer it to your current pension scheme. There are many benefits
to transferring your pension including:
CONTROL: If you combine all of your
pension benefits together it's easier to keep an eye on how they're
progressing, or whether you need to supplement it by increasing
your contributions, or making AVCs.
INVESTMENT CHOICE: You may have greater
investment choice in your new scheme than you did in your previous
pension scheme.
CHARGES: If you combine all of your pension
benefits you will only need to pay charges on one scheme, be it by
deductions from your fund or administration charges, therefore
saving you money!
However, it is important to note that it may not always be
recommended to amalgamate your pension benefits so you should
consider the options carefully. If you want to discuss these
options further you should contact your scheme administrator or corporate@invesco.ie.
If you want more information on your company pension scheme
please contact your HR department or corporate@invesco.ie.
